Gary Grellman

President

Gary has nearly 40 years of senior leadership experience in the for-profit and non-profit sectors. He was with Levi Strauss & Co. for 30 years as a finance executive including Principal Accounting Officer, Vice President of Global Planning, and International Chief Financial Officer. He also served for seven years as the Chief Financial and Operating Officer of Goodwill Industries of San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin Counties. Gary brings to the Family Works Board a strong passion and commitment to social responsibility and accessible mental health treatment and support.      

Cameron Kirby

Treasurer

Cameron is a research analyst at Indaba Capital Management, an investment adviser in San Francisco. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Economics. Cameron has seen first hand how much of a positive impact counseling can have on families and youth in need and wants to be sure counseling services are accessible to all, regardless of means. He is particularly drawn to Family Works' compassionate approach to providing mental health services to our community. 

Kim Pace

Secretary

Kim Pace has built and led global Marketing organizations, brands and business strategies for over 20 years across E-commerce, Software (SAAS), CPG, Real Estate Development, Restaurants, Retail and Wellness Companies. Kim has launched several Companies from inception, overseeing both Marketing and Operations. She currently manages a Team of 40 employees and leads all Client and business relations as VP, Account Management, eBay. Kim is excited to convert her passion for building physical and virtual communities into building strong and healthy emotional communities with Family Works.

Brigid Breen

Member at Large

Working in the financial services industry for over 30 years, Brigid is currently Senior Vice President and Manager within Wealth Brokerage and Retirement Compliance at Wells Fargo. She joined Wells Fargo in 1988 and has managed several accounting and compliance teams in multiple departments. In addition to her compliance work at Wells Fargo, Brigid was the Chief Compliance Officer for Charles Schwab Investment Management.  Brigid has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business and obtained her CPA while working at Deloitte.

Katie Bhagwan

Member at Large

Katie Bhagwan is an Education Marketing Manager at Apple where she focuses on marketing educational programs on the Global Retail Marketing team. Prior to joining Apple in 2017, she spent the past ten years working in marketing most recently at Formative, George Lucas’ Educational Foundation, and Twitter. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Communications from The University of North Florida, holds a certificate in Data Analysis from the General Assembly, and has her CCT Certification (Compassion Cultivation Training) from Stanford University.

We are strongly committed to what we do and derive great satisfaction from the relationships we form as we support the goals of Family Works. Please join us as we move forward to serve the community. The commitment is reasonable, the time well spent, and the sense of satisfaction – enormous.

We are looking for Board Members who will:

  • Believe in, have passionate for, and care deeply about the agency’s purpose, mission, and goals

  • Make a serious commitment to participate actively in the work of the Board and their committees

  • Want to use their strategic planning, strong problem solving and negotiating skills to support the agency’s vision and mission

  • Demonstrate their strong interpersonal skills and teamwork by joining our fundraising and resource acquisition efforts

  • Demonstrate integrity and a strong sense of responsibility for their recommendations and decisions and are ready to take on tough issues and work through challenging situations while remaining respectful and collaborative

  • Have strong ties to their community and actively recruit new Board members 

  • Acting an agency representative to spread the word about Family Works services

  • Help with fundraising and resources acquisition and management

  • Participate in strategic planning

  • Actively recruit new Board members
